Forks of the Credit Provincial Park is located in Caledon. It is a part of the Niagara Escarpment. The park is on the Bruce Trail. The Credit River runs through the park.
The main parking lot is off of McLaren Road on the north-east side of the park, it costs $7.5 for 4-hour parking. From parking lot to Cataract Falls, it takes about 1-ish hour. There are some steep up and down paths on wooden staircases. Some of the paths are quite muddy. Today was not cold but very windy.
There are 6 trails in the Provincial Park. In front of the pay station, there is a notice board which tells you how to get to the falls.
"To view the falls, travel Meadow Trail until it intersects with the Bruce Trail. Follow Bruce Trail west until it ends at the closure."
Very clear!
We hiked along Meadow Trail, passed Kettle Lake. At the intersaction of Meadow Trail and the Bruce Trail, there is a sign to tell you the direction to the Falls. This is the early Spring time. The forms of trees are very impressive!
After lots of inclines and declines, we finally reached the end of the trail and overlook the falls at the other side.
